The Australian Synchrotron offers new and unique analysis techniques across the electromagnetic as well as scientific spectrum. This powerful photon source enables research in cultural heritage, medical imaging and therapy – to give but a few examples. Join us for our Annual General Meeting, with presentations from three users showcasing the breadth of application of the synchrotron.

Please note: it is important that we have a representative number of branch members for the AGM to proceed, if you are unable to attend the AGM there is a proxy form attached to the AGM flyer. If you can fill this in and return to the Hon. Secretary or Hon. Chair before the meeting it would be a great help. (If you would like to nominate the Hon. Chair as a proxy please fill in his name (Andrew Stevenson) and he will fill in his member number)

Call for nominations to AIP Victorian Branch committee and Branch Executive

If you have a passion for physics and would like to help promote the role of physics in research, education, industry and the community we'd love for you to consider joining the AIP Victorian Branch committee. At present the Branch has representatives from many of the Victorian universities, physics teachers, CSIRO and the Australian Synchrotron. Nominations duly proposed and seconded, and accompanied by the written consent of the person nominated may be made by members of the AIP Victorian Branch. Please forward any nominations, or requests for further information, to the Hon. Secretary Dr. Mark Boland.

Refreshments available from 6:00pm, no RSVP required. Members are encouraged to join the speaker and members of the Branch Committee for dinner following the talk at a local restaurant. In order to assist with table reservations please contact the Honorary Chair (email below).
